Mortgage Application Checklist

The following is a list of those items you may need to have available to apply for a loan at Wells Federal Bank.

Borrower Information:

  1. Address and telephone number of each borrower
  2. Previous address if less than two years at current address 
  3. Social Security number of applicant(s) 
  4. Value of assets including cars, stocks, real estate, personal property 
  5. A copy of the closing statement if you have recently sold any real    estate


Employment/Income:

  1. Name and address of employer(s) for the past two years
  2. Pay stub(s) for the last 30 days showing year-to-date and current period earnings. If you have additional income, you may need documentation for accuracy 
  3. W-2’s for last two years


Self Employed

  1. Federal tax returns from the past two years
  2. Business tax returns if a corporation


Bank Accounts/Investments

  1. Checking and savings account statements for the past three months
  2. Most recent brokerage account statement for the past three months, or copies of stock certificates and/or savings bonds 
  3. Copy of current thrift plan or retirement benefits statement (including IRAs and Keoghs)


Creditors (credit cards, loans, and current mortgages)

  1. Name of creditor
  2. Account number 
  3. Monthly payment 
  4. Outstanding balance


Purchases

  1. Copy of the sales contract and all addenda


Refinances

  1. Copy of the recorded warranty deed
